Brad Benne, Executive Director

Bozeman, Montana

Brad is very excited to join the Rocky Mountain Hemophilia & Bleeding Disorders Association: "RMHBDA programs change lives and that is why I am very thrilled to be here. I also strongly believe in the importance of helping families with bleeding disorders have access to care and education, its significance in improving the overall quality of life for all people in the communities we serve."

Brad comes to RMHBDA with significant experience in education, parks and recreation, and business. A former director of parks & recreation at Williams Bay Parks & Recreation in Williams Bay, WI, Brad also served as an adventure & outdoor education instructor at the Nuhop Center for Experiential Learning in Ashland, Ohio, and as a naturalist & outdoor instructor at Glen Helen Outdoor Education Center in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and most recently the Program Director at Montana Outdoor Science School in Bozeman, Montana. Brad has volunteered in local junior achievement programs, and has been active in Montana State Special Olympics and the Bozeman Chamber of Commerce.

Brad has a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in History from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a Master of Science in Recreation Administration from Aurora University in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. Brad loves spending time outside with his two boys, John and Will, who both have Hemophilia. Brad also enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, skiing, playing basketball, and golf.

Lisa Maxwell, Programs Coordinator

Great Falls, Montana

“We (RMHBDA) are beyond fortunate to announce the hiring Lisa Maxwell as our Programs Coordinator. Lisa's experience and commitment to our chapter and to our community on both a local and national level has been critical to the success of our chapter. Her past tireless work as a volunteer and as a board member will serve our chapter well as she transitions to being an extraordinary asset at RMHBDA,” shared executive director Brad Benne.

Lisa’s experience with RMHBDA includes:

  • RMHBDA Board of Directors 2005-17
  • RMHBDA Board President 2012-14
  • Past Family Camp Director
  • NHF Annual Meeting Co-Chair 2014, 2105
  • Washington Days 2009-17

In regard to her new role with RMHBDA, Lisa offerred, “This organization has given me and my family much needed education, support, and lifelong friendships. It is my hope to give back to other families all these blessings that this chapter has given me.”
